VYDRICA - CITY FLOW

Často skloňované Bratislavské Podhradie čaká už roky na svoju novú podobu, na svoje znovuzrodenie. Je nepochybné, že revitalizácia Vydrice - jej nová tvár bude vytvárať genia loci Bratislavy. V roku 2006 bol schválený územný plán zóny Podhradie, ktorý zareguloval územie fukčne aj priestorovo. Úlohou verejných súťaží vypísaných na revitalizáciu mestskej štvrte Vydrica v júli 2007 bolo nájsť vhodné architektonické riešenie mestských blokov V8 a V10. Zo sektoru Vydrica je riešený regulačný celok Vodná veža ako centrum a srdce celého riešeného územia. Názov súťažného návrhu je CITY FLOW – prúd, ktorý tečie mestom, vlieva sa do nového územia, prináša novú dynamiku a život do modernej pulzujúcej metropoly.

Bratislava Podhradie has been waiting for its new form and rebirth for years. There is no doubt that the revitalisation of Vydrica, its new face, will create the genius loci of Bratislava. The master urban plan of the zone Podhradie was approved in the year 2006, which regulated this territory functionally and spatially. The role of public competitions for the revitalisation of the urban neighbourhood Vydrica was to find appropirate architectural solutions for the urban blocks V8 and V10. Sector Vydrica is solved as a regulation unit – Water tower as the centre and heart of the designed area. The title of the proposal is CITY FLOW – a stream that flows through the town, merges into a new territory, brings new dynamics and life into the modern vibrant metropolis.
