Centrum Považskej Bystrice má jedinečné urbanistické situovanie svojou dotykovou polohou s lesným porastom, ktorý plní funkciu mestského lesoparku – Kalváriou. Koncepcia návrhu rešpektuje prepojenie centra mesta s mestským parkom. Novovytvorené námestie tak vytvára priestor pre relaxáciu ako aj spoločenské funkcie. Usporiadanie navrhovaných objektov umožňuje priamy výhľad na mestský park a Manínske pohorie. Ďalším fenoménom je vodný potok. Pre využitie polohy toku v rámci centra mesta je navrhnuté uvoľnenie brehov s možnosťou pešieho prístupu k vode. Na južnej strane námestia je navrhnutý obchodno-polyfunkčný objekt. Svojou dynamickou hmotou komunikuje s horským masívom Manína a kompozične s ním korešponduje.

The centre of Považská Bystrica has a unique urban location with its contact to forest-land resources, which performs the function of the urban forest park – Calvary. The concept of the plan respects the interconnection of the town centre and the urban forest park. The new square creates the ideal conditions for relaxation as well as social functions. The arrangement of the proposed buildings enables a direct view of the park and Maninske pohorie. Another phenomenon is the water stream. To take an advantage of its location within the centre of the town, the release of the shores with the possibility of accessing the water is proposed. A commercial and polyfunctional building is designed on the south part of the square. Its dynamic mass communicates with mountain Manína and its composition corresponds it.
